Definitive Rules for Filipino to drive in UAE?
I am new in Dubai, about 5 days, i have employment visa, i have international lisence and holder of valid filipino driving lisence. the consulate do not know anything, they (Lorie & Marleen) told me to ask driving institutes.
My queries: how can i drive with the rented cars? What do i need to secure? since i’m only 4 days here, my visa is not yet stamped on my passport, does the rule require me to have 1 year UAE lisence before i may be allowed to drive with rented cars?
I am now preparing for driving lessons with Belhasa to secure driving lisence but it will take time to release.
I need to drive daily to go to work which is far from the city limits, its on the dessert development area.
Any help is much appreciated.
Basic Rules:
If you are on VISIT VISA, you can use your Philippine International Driving License.
If you are on EMPLOYMENT VISA, you HAVE TO convert to UAE Driving License which means you are back to zero – with a no objection from your sponsor you have to take driving classes and going for practical exam.
Generally rented cars would ask for a Driving License that has been valid for at least six months. The reason is that the insurance company will not take liability for vehicular accidents when the driver has less than 6 months driving experience (as per your UAE DL)
For the meantime, maybe you can contact Fantasy for their transport services (L300 vans). For approximately 300-500 a month, they will do pick-up and drop-off for you.
The cost of spending a penny has gone up

No Caption Needed $25 In No Caption Needed, Robert Hariman and John Louis Lucaites provide the definitive study of the iconic photograph as a dynamic form of public art. Their critical analyses of nine individual icons explore the photographs themselves and their subsequent circulation through an astonishing array of media, including stamps, posters, billboards, editorial cartoons, TV shows, Web pages, tattoos, and more. Iconic images are revealed as models of visual eloquence, signposts for collective memory, means of persuasion across the political spectrum, and a crucial resource for critical reflection.Arguing against the conventional belief that visual images short-circuit rational deliberation and radical critique, Hariman and Lucaites make a bold case for the value of visual imagery in a liberal-democratic society. No Caption Needed is a compelling demonstration of photojournalism”s vital contribution to public life. |
